Welcome to AstrobioBlog

A place to connect with the astronomy and astrobiology community and find scientific writing. Whether you're a science enthusiast, student, or just curious about the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe, this is a space to explore and engage with the latest astrobiology discussions.

About AstrobioBlog

AstrobioBlog was founded by Canadian McGill graduate Evan Nelles as a personal adventure into impassioned scientific writing. This blog was born in May 2024 following his achievement of a Bachelor of Science with Majors in Physics and a Minor in Natural History. AstrobioBlog is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of astrobiology outside of the scientific community. AstrobioBlog has three main sections: In Constellation Spotlight, we explore the nature of recognizable features in the night sky, and the evocative mythology behind their naming. In Frontier, we summarize groundbreaking scientific papers with easy to read language, so you can keep up with developments in the search for life elsewhere in the universe. In Orbital Update, we discuss modern topics in space news.
